In late 2008, June and Angi created the idea of KylieStuff.
We had talked numerous times in the months after Kylie’s death and shared stories about the lessons we had learned from her. What surprised us was how many other people were sharing similar stories regarding Kylie’s impact on their lives. We soon realized how widespread her positive influence had been and that it didn’t have to end just because she had passed away.
The goal of KylieStuff is to share what we learned from her amazing attitude in a fun and meaningful way. We will all go through tough times in our lifetime. We hope these products will put a smile on your face and give you courage when you need it most!
Enjoy!

Founder's Biography
June Penuel
June grew up in Newark, Delaware, attending Newark High School and the University of Delaware (go Blue Hens!). She spent the first three months after graduating bartending at a local hot spot until she realized this wasn’t what her parents had in mind after college. She then joined a local financial company and has remained happily employed there for 20 years. It was during this time that she became close friends with Angi. Although she enjoys her work, she still wonders what she wants to be when she grows up.

June is an avid runner and although she has run consistently since college, she never competed in a race until she was 39. She ran 8 races that year. She has not yet run a marathon, but is seriously considering a half marathon. Baby steps. Baby steps.
June loves the outdoors, especially in warm weather. Each year mid-winter, she wonders why she is not living in Florida. One of her life's goals is to be a snow bird.
June had two wonderful children, Kylie (born in Sept 1996) and Brandt (born in Sept 1998). Both were born early, prompting the quote from her mom “You’ve never been patient about anything in your life, why would childbirth be any different?” Her kids were the center of her world.
In February 1999, Kylie was diagnosed with cancer. The next 9 years were spent trying to find the silver bullet that would end the cancer once and for all.
Knowing that Kylie may be on borrowed time, “we’ll do that later” or “let’s wait until tomorrow” was removed from June’s vocabulary. She was determined to make the most of every day she had with her family. They took many trips, including Disney World, Mexico, the Florida Keys and Atlantis. And most importantly, she told her kids, each and every day, how much she loved them and how grateful she was to be their mom.
In June 2008, Kylie lost her battle to cancer, and June lost a soul mate. Although saddened, she is comforted in knowing what a full life Kylie had lead and that she had raised such a loving child.

Angi and her two, four-legged kids, Luke and Casey moved to San Diego in October of 2006. She went from spending her free time on the baseball fields and at cheerleading and dance competitions to running along the beach and hiking in the canyons.
